NEWS -
Have you heard about the Montauk Monster?? An animal that looks like a bloated, hairless dog, except that it's got an eagle-like beak, a prominent brow ridge and a an elongated front paw washed up on the shores of the Hamptons. A photo of the beast was posted on Gawker, New York' reigning gossip blog, which treated the Montauk monster with the following predictive line: "Good Luck With Your Hell Demons." It has been suggested that the beast is what Christopher Walken turns into at night, and that perhaps something had happened to him. Tom Cruise has the monster now and is studying it to find out how high up in the scientology hierarchy the monster reins.

We all have interesting stories about some of the freaks we sit next to on Grey Hound buses. I once sat next to a girl from Nashville all the way to Buffalo who had beetles crawling around in her dreadlocks. Nothing however, compares to what passengers on a Manitoba Canada Greyhound had to put up with yesterday. One of the passengers on this particular Greyhound bus repeatedly stabbed and then decapitated his seat mate, pausing during the attack to display the head to passengers. The passengers, understandably, were a little freaked out. Greyhound spokeswoman Abby Wambaugh said 37 passengers were aboard, many watching the on-board movie "Zorro" when the violence erupted. The passenger who was stabbed 50 times, gutted and decapitated is recovering at one of Canada's state run health care facilities.

Finally this morning, an entry for the Darwin Awards perhaps? And where else but....Arkansas!! An Arkansas man died from electrocution while he was using jumper cables to hook up power to his house after his electricity was shut off. And why not?!? Obviously if the electric company wants you to pay your bill they're certain to shut it off in a way that lets you simply run jumper cables to turn it back on!! Works on the car...why not the house?!?! The deceased had a long running history of stupidity including making beer in his bathtub while continuing to bathe in it, keeping a live Chilean White Tiger in his house, and purchasing one of the first generation iPhones.
