Starting the Monday off with a story from the category simply called..."wha??". From the District of Columbia, police say one man was killed and another was injured Friday night when they stood up while riding on the open-topped upper deck of a bus and their heads struck a highway overpass. The men, both in their 20s, were heading to a Washington Nationals baseball game, so they were probably drinking. So that means that some shuttle bus company somewhere thought "why not?" when the idea was brought up to shuttle drinking baseball fans on an open topped double decker bus....under overpasses!!
A happy story from Texas...According to MyFoxDallas.com, Denton police said Benjamin Ramirez, 41, walked into the Pizza Patron wearing a wig and dark sunglasses and appeared to be holding a silver handgun. Surveillance video shows how he demanded money and slapped one worker in the face. 17-year-old Rudy Sandoval, didn't take too kindly to that. He fought back, and cold-cocked the robber straight into sleepy land were he stayed for several minutes before waking up and running out of the pizza joint where customers tracked him down an told police where to find him.
Finally this morning a good time waster. Found this one, as usual, on Digg.com. Very cool website with some amazing photos and videos of ships at see taking on waves 10 or 12 times their size. Amazing stuff. CLICK HERE FOR THE SITE!!
