Anheuser-Busch, the nation's biggest brewery, has received a $46B unsolicited buyout offer from a Belgian brewer. This would of course mean that one of America's beloved institutions would not be domestically owned anymore. CBS evening news anchor Katie Couric was quick to point out that if that deal goes through, Budweiser would be owned by "Belgia"...wherever that is.
Marijuana potency increased last year to the highest level in more than 30 years, posing greater health risks to people who may view the drug as harmless, according to a report released Thursday by the White House. The latest analysis from the University of Mississippi's Potency Monitoring Project tracked the average amount of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, in samples seized by law enforcement agencies from 1975 through 2007. Professor Spicoli from the university says the trend will continue.
This is absolutely ridiculous....A flight attendant from Michigan and an airline pilot face fines of $300 apiece after a nighttime romp in the woods that ended when police found the pilot hiding behind a shed wearing only flip-flops and a wristwatch. Neighbors called police, saying they had seen a naked man and an intoxicated woman. A helicopter with heat-seeking equipment was called in, and Bradford later was discovered hiding behind a shed wearing only flip-flops and a wristwatch.
