A plane missing for 24 years was found partially submerged by canoeists on a receding, drought-stricken lake in the Texas Panhandle. Officials said the Friday discovery on Lake Meredith was confirmed to be the fuselage of a small plane that went missing during a two-hour flight on Jan. 27, 1984. Of of the canoists who discovered the plane reached into the water and pulled the door open...at that moment the pilot burst out of the water rapidly exhaling his air and excitingly yelling, "THREE TRILLION TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR MILLION FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND NINETY TWO!! YEA!!!"

A routine arrest at a North Kansas City casino Sunday quickly escalated into a massive melee involving 450 people. Officers were attempting to arrest a number of suspects at the VooDoo Lounge in Harrah's casino when the suspects fought back. Other casino patrons joined in the fracas until hundreds of people were involved. When reached for comment, Jerry Fallwell balemd the mele on the jews and the gays.

Neil Young, the rocker who provided some of the soundtrack to Vietnam-era protests, is trying to change the world again — with his car. Along with gas guru Jonathan Goodwin, they are looking to convert Young's 1959 Lincoln Continental convertible to operate on an electric battery. Ultimately, they said, they want the Continental to provide a model for the world's first affordable mass-produced electric-powered automobile. A Lincoln Conintinental.... Young was apparently inspired for this project by one of his other great ideas...powering his kitchen disposal with a helicopter engine.
