Yesterday I saw the final indication that summer is here. E.L., a musician friend of mine who spends winters in Florida....is back. E.L. works at the marina where our boat is slipped, and is also a first rate Nashville Cat. He can keep up with anyone on both guitar and keys. E.L. is the human equivalent to a flock of geese. He flys south for the winter...but his return marks the beginning of good times. Seeing E.L. on the dock yesterday eased my fears that with high gas, worldwide violence and natural disasters, the world was spiraling down into a blob of plasma like Hillary Clinton leaves in the toilet every morning. No..having seen EL yesterday I know it's a matter of days now....not weeks or months...before I see titties on the lake. Thanks E.L. Thanks from all of humanity!
On a completely separate note, I'll be performing live stand-up comedy tonight at Spanky's Bar and Grill in Nashville, and tomorrow night at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville. For tomorrow's show, the door is usually $12....but it's only $5 if you say you're there to see ME!!
