WORD OF THE DAY -
Ameliorate - To make better or improve.

ON THIS DAY -
1976, Communist Chinese leader Mao Tse-tung died in Beijing at age 82, which is young for a astral traveling Deity
1776 The second Continental Congress made the term "United States" official, replacing "United Colonies."...and will somebody please explain to Obama that the symbol of the United States is the American Flag and not his own corporate symbol?? [SOUND]
2003 The Boston Roman Catholic Archdiocese agreed to pay $85 million to 552 people to settle clergy sex abuse cases, and agreed to purchase 713 inflatable little boys to anonymously pass out to the hundreds of priest-verts in the area.

BIRTHDAYS -
Adam Sandler is 42! Tom Wopat of "The Dukes of Hazzard" is 57 and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics is 56!!

NEWS!!
A quick "End of the world update!!" - Of course we all know the end of the world would be "bad".[SOUND]. The multi billion-dollar Large Hadron Collider in Europe will explore the tiniest particles and come ever closer to re-enacting the big bang, the theory that a colossal explosion created the universe. It starts testing tomorrow, with plans to end the world by the end of the month.

Today on Foxnews.com the "Foxsexpert" describes how men can experience multiple orgasms! The tips include building your mental strength, becoming intimately familiar with your orgasmic response, exercises your pelvic floor muscles...etc. [SOUND-richard simmons] I think I speak for most men when I say, I don't want to have multiple orgasms...when I'm done I'm done and I want a beer and a steak. End of story. I'm afraid if I learned how to have multiple orgasms I'd also become a worse driver and have no sense of direction. Hell, I could even lead to aerobics!!

Finally, talk is underway over who will play the villains in the next Batman movie. Looks like Johnny Depp and Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the Riddler and Penguin respectively. Also talks underway to create a new villain called "The Mummy", which would be Keith Ledgers first acting role since his death.
